This is the Public (Visitors) Privacy Policy of Piltdown Golf Club. Please note we have a separate privacy policy for members and Academy members. Our address is: Piltdown Golf Club, Golf Club Lane, Uckfield. TN22 3XB

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Piltdown Golf Club collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from visitors and users of the www.piltdowngolfclub.co.uk website. This privacy policy applies to the website, the Golf Club and all products and services offered by Piltdown Golf Club.

We are committed to protecting your privacy.  We comply with the Data Protection Act 1988 and General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and follow strict security measures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given to us to prevent unauthorised access.

What information do we collect

We do not ask for, maintain or keep any "sensitive personal data” within the meaning of the Data Protection Act.

What do we do with the information

We do not share information with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes.
We do not retain financial information, such as bank account details, for any visitors. 

For visitors, including Society organisers and entrants into Open competitions etc, we collect the name and contact details sufficient to exchange information about their booking and ensure their visit/event runs smoothly. This information is only retained as necessary to ensure that dates and events can be confirmed.   

Non-personal identification information

We use GOOGLE ANALYTICS and COOKIES to enhance user experience and measure anonymised details of all visits to our website. This data is collected only from the public areas by Google software and is not retained by the Club.  We do not have any facility for Visitors to register with us so no personal information is collected or stored in this way.  

How we protect your information

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent users' personal identification information to others. 

Third party websites

As a general rule we do not allow advertising or other content on our Site, however, we may enable links to the sites and services of our partners and suppliers such as intelligentgolf, Handicap Master or Club Minder. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

The articles available on the Website are provided on an "as is" basis without any representations or endorsements made and without any warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of fitness for purpose, merchantability and accuracy.

Changes to this privacy policy

Piltdown Golf Club has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a revised copy on the website, with a new date at the bottom of this page.
