Many Piltdown members also belong to the Craft Club (Can't Remember a Flipping Thing). The Club is open to both men and ladies.
The Craft Club was founded in 1991 at Rye Golf Club with the objective of raising funds for 3 charities; the RNLI, SSAFA and Save the Children.
Its first President was Rear Admiral Ian Robertson CB, who was a member of Piltdown Golf Club and a great supporter of the Craft Club’s activities. This is one of the main reasons that Piltdown has had a strong connection to the Craft Club ever since.
Piltdown and the other participating Clubs organise fund-raising golf days throughout the year, and their support has helped raise substantial funds for the charities.
The current Craft Club President Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence is also President of the RNLI and takes an active role in the golf, and in the future direction of activities through the Club’s organisers at Rye.
The Piltdown member in charge of our section of the CRAFT Club is Mr Peter Ross - pglross@gmail.com
