Matchplay Knockout
H'cap Allowance:
- Younger children with high handicaps and juniors with no handicaps.
- Adult + child foursomes.
- Knock out from April through to August.
- There is no official handicapping, but if a pair goes two holes up, their opponents will receive a shot per hole until they go back level.
- The match is played over holes 1-8 in the Foursomes format.
- Children drive on each hole from the orange tees, then alternate with their partner for the remaining shots.
- Accompanying adults may only play with one club and a putter.
- Children may play preferred lies everywhere, take free relief from heather and will not be ‘penalised’ for air shots.
